IVCCI was conceived on July 14, 1989, the day on which an economic co-operation agreement was signed between the Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) Mumbai, represented by Mr.Ramu Pandit, then Secretary-General, and Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
